$950.00

20” x 16” x 1/2”

acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas ready to hang or it could be framed.

New Mexico was one of the last states, if not the last to outlaw open pit dumps. Pilar had one across the highway from the cafe and every once in a while someone would light it. People just dumped everything there, changed their oil, dumped animals alive or dead. I adopted a cat from there once. This painting is inaccurate because I don’t remember any time that the fire truck came from Dixon. Since there was nothing around it, it was just left to turn and was really very beautiful at night.
